This month’s Sustainability Spotlight features Chris Perez, a valued SHP member. We’ll certainly miss Chris Perez and are grateful for all of his contributions to Sustainable Highland Park. Here is a message from SHP Chair, Rose DeLorenzo:
At last month’s meeting, Sustainable Highland Park members bid a fond farewell to Chris Perez, who recently relocated for new adventures. Chris and I attended our very first SHP meeting together in the fall of 2021, and I truly got to know him while tabling at our first Earth Day Fair in the spring of 2022. It is hard to believe we have been part of SHP for the past five years! Chris’s extensive knowledge—especially regarding rain gardens—has been an absolute gem, and we have learned so much from the resources he shared.
Chris, the committee (and especially your rain garden sidekick, Mark) will miss you dearly. We are comforted knowing you are just a phone call or email away, and that we will still see you around Highland Park on your in-office days at Rutgers! We wish you the absolute best in your next chapter.
