If we all grew where we were planted, what a lovely garden the world would be!
Growing a garden is an act of hope. Whether you are planting a container of parsley or an acre of corn, the miracle is all the same. There is no better way to learn about our interdependent relationship with nature than to plant a seed and watch it grow into something that sustains us!
With this as inspiration, Sustainable Highland Park has launched a community-wide gardening initiative called Everyone’s Farm.
Everyone’s Farm will provide a hub in which to gather, share, and engage in ongoing learning and discussion about growing our own food – providing each other with knowledge, skills and support as we learn how to garden, anywhere. We are offering outreach education to our whole community right in the very spaces in which we all live, helping everyone learn how we can grow our own nourishment through cooperation, innovation, and regeneration.
Did You Know...
…You can grow food everywhere – in containers on a balcony or next to a sunny window!
…There’s no such thing as a “green thumb” – anyone and everyone can do this!
…There’s only one mistake you can make when growing a garden — giving up!
