Highland Park’s Second Repair Cafe

Do you have a broken lamp that you just don’t have the heart to throw out? Or jewelry that has lost a few chain links? Could your bike or your guitar use a little tune-up? Could some of your clothes or other fabrics use a little mending? What about that broken wooden chair that you keep around, but warn people not to sit on? Anything else that you’re holding onto that needs fixing?  Well, you’re in luck!  Bring them to Highland Park’s second Repair Cafe on Saturday, November 7th at the Community Center.

We’ll have coffee, tea, snacks, and fellowship with people who are interested in extending the life of items that would otherwise end up in a landfill. It’s all part of our mission at Sustainable Highland Park.

Please note: this event is first-come, first-served, with a limit of two items per person. The last call for new repairs will be at 3:30 pm. Everyone must sign a waiver relieving the repairers and the organization of fault if the item leaves the event in worse shape than it arrives, or any other liability that may be associated with the repair.
